Becoming a real estate agent to get into the game.

I am new to this and want some advice.  I am a full time coach and teacher that wants to start my real estate investment journey.  I am considering getting my real estate license to assist with learning the in's and out's of real estate.  I understand this is not necessary but do you all think this will help me as i push forward on my journey.  I have read and listened to podcast and books for about a year now and feel as if i just need a little more knowledge before I take the next step.

Thoughts???

@Jomaul Mason

Depends on what type of real estate investing you are trying to get involved with. Long-term rentals; the license might not help that much. Wholesaling and flipping; the license will be very helpful.
