Contractors how do you price?

Hello,

I was wondering what contractors are adding up for their bids on house renovations.

Also is it better to get multiple quotes from different contractors or to just use one general contractor who can do it all?

Cost of materials + mark up

Permit if needed

Labor based on how long I think it will take to do the job.

Any other expenses tied to the job,  rental equipment for example.

Total it all up.

I am not sure if that is what you were asking but that is what I got from the question.
