What would be the best job to get to after high school

Jacob Gawlik
Posted

I am still in high school wanting to invest in real estate in the future, but I’m not sure if it would be better to go to college, or to go into the trades

If I decided to go into college what job should I choose to get, same thing with the trades, what trade should I do if I wanted to go into the trade

Or should I fix and flip using that money to bye rentals

In the time it takes you to get a four-year degree, you could already have four years of experience and possibly be a Master Electrician. Master Plumber takes a little longer, but you'll make good money along the way. In both trades, you could have your own business within 7-8 years and earn $75 - $100 an hour.

Spend four years in college and you're more likely to have debt, no work experience, and you'll struggle to find a job that pays even $35 an hour.

You could also get a job in property management. Make a decent wage and learn one of the hardest parts of real estate investing: managing the property.
