Getting our foot in the door.

Hello, me and my partner are looking to get our foot in the door with real estate investing. We are interested in fixing and flipping properties to start off to build capital and eventually get into rentals. We live in NYC but are looking to start in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and if the deals make sense upstate New York. We don’t have much if any capital to get started so, after doing research we’ve seen that it is possible to do it with no capital whether it be through private/hard money lenders or joint ventures with other investors. If there’s anyone here that would be interested in giving us any advice or have any interest in maybe working with us that would be amazing. I used to be a real estate agent and dipped my toes in a bit of wholesaling. So I have some knowledge on the business.

My advice to you would be to consume as much education on the topic as possible and document it. Show people that you're diving into this, you're taking classes, joining meetups, this will get peoples gears turning about the possibility of investing with you. Start with friends and family, when people see you're making them money then other people will join in and request to invest with you. Be confident, passionate, and knowledgable.
