Real Estate Rookie in South Texas
Hey BP forum! I wanted to officially introduce myself to everyone as I am beginning my real estate journey. Over the last two years, I have read books upon books on personal finance (of course, starting with Rich Dad Poor Dad) and real estate and have learned so much! I first learned about Bigger Pockets through the Real Estate podcast and was hooked right away. Since then, I have been an avid listener of the podcast and became a free member of BP last October.
Between then and now, my wife and I introduced our first child into the world, and we are currently in the process of moving to San Antonio permanently. Now that we are more settled in this season of life, I'm ready to go from learning to taking action! I have become a Pro member and am looking forward to connecting with awesome people and adding value to this community as I start my RE portfolio. Cheers to future financial freedom!!

Good luck!!! Get out there and meet some people in real life. Go to some meetups. I have one. I go to the BREW in Boerne also(@Todd Nurnberger. I go to Almost Friends @Manaia Alalamua's meetup. All the info is on Facebook or on their profile.
There are some bigger groups also. They are a little pitchy, meaning they are selling lots of junk, but great to meet lots of people.
