How to get FHA with no income

David Bertolami
Posted

Hi Biggerpockets, long time podcast listener, first time poster.

I've decided to start my investing journey with a duplex house hack. I've spent the past few years building my credit up (currently 730) and my bank account for the down payment.

I've also decided that a duplex in the 350-400k range is/could be the right fit for me.

Thing is, that like most people,  I chose not to work during the bulk of the pandemic, so now that I'm ready to get the ball rolling I don't have 2 yrs provable income.

As of this writing, it's Friday the 13th and I'll be speaking with mortgage brokers on Monday here in St Pete FL to see if they have any advice, but wanted to throw it out there into the biggerpockets-verse first.

Anybody have any thoughts on how to get an FHA with no income history? Thanks in advance, yall rock. Have a good wknd
