Hello,

Just wanted to introduce myself, my goals, and plans for the future. My name is David. I am currently active duty in the USMC. I found my passion for real estate after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. I mainly do audio books as my drive to and from work on a daily basis is about, in total, 2 hours. It started with Rich Dad Poor Dad and then just spider webbed into about 7-8 more real estate books in just a few months. One thing I realized quickly about being in the military is that you really do not get a ton of time with family outside of your weekends. I am a huge family guy. My daughter is my whole world and I love spending time with her. I realized I did not want to work a 9-5 for the rest of my life and miss the opportunity to watch her grow. So my main goal is to become financially free and have as much time as possible with my family and give them the best life as possible. My future plans consist of short-term rentals in Gatlinburg, TN, which is only about 45 minutes from where I grew up. I remember going as a kid and just absolutely loving it and I want to give kids the same memories the people from that town gave me when I was a child. I am so excited to finally be in the bigger pockets forums! I am excited to learn and grow. Look forward to meeting you all.

@David Reeves Welcome to BP! There are plenty of investor friendly realtors and investors here that you can connect with. There should be local meetups available in your area as well. Read through the old forum posts here as there is plenty of value and wisdom in the old posts!
