There are violations on a home that I am trying to purchase (vacant) right now I just want to get the roof done. How do I know what permit are for each violation and how do I obtain the permits? (I’m In Illinois) Thanks in advance!

@Dominique Mickles you can also FOIA the city records and ask for a record all permits and code violations, this is public information and in Illinois they have 14 days to respond. I do this often if there appears to be some work that had been done to the property that I want to know more about.
