Searching for a Financial Advisor & Accountant

Good Morning!

I am new to the real estate investment market and am looking for a financial advisor and tax accountant. How would one vet out these to professions when choosing who to help with their goals?

1 - Are there certain questions I can ask to make sure they know what they're talking about?

2 - Should you stick with someone that is local to you so you can talk in person?

4 - Do I need someone that specifically works with STR or LTR ?

3 - Any personal recommendations?

I live in Metro Detroit/ Michigan - if it's key to stick to someone local.

Thank you.

Interview the recommendations from places like BP and your local REIA. These will be people that you feel comfortable with as the nature of their business is very personal.
