Career change - Real Estate Agent or Mortgage Pro? Which?

Considering a move from Insurance. The ultimate goal in the future is to Invest in Real Estate again.

I know there is No Shortcut, but at age 37, which would be the “better” direction to go in as far as income, growth, opportunity, etc.
