Health Coverage for selfemployed?

I recently was laid off from my W-2 job. I am considering using this as a spring board to launch my RE career into full time work.  What do you self employed guys do for health coverage? I looked at HealthCare.gov but was underwhelmed by their plans. I also looked at United who had much better prices, but hard to compare coverages. Any suggestions?

@Christopher Blanco - insurance is one of the biggest pains for the self-employed (it is like they want us all to work for someone else...)

We found the best rates through Farm Bureau in Tennessee.

Wish I had a better answer.
