Hey guys, I am a real estate agent currently living in Denver CO, and plan on moving to Florida, (Sarasota area), early next year to start flipping houses. In a couple months I will be flying out to Florida to visit family. I plan on hitting the ground running as soon as I make the move, so I am curious as to what I can do to get a head start? Should I already be talking to brokers, lenders, wholesalers, etc. or is it too early for that kind of interaction? I want to be as prepared as possible however I don't want to be the boy who cried wolf, so to speak.

@Brandon Henderson,

I would think that now would be a great time to start networking by whatever means you can, though I confess it's challenging to talk about moving TO Florida in the wake of Harvey while Irma is drawing a bead on Florida and the south-east coast of the U.S. That said, my sister and her husband live in Vero Beach. (For future readers, today is Sept. 3 of 2017.)

Maybe start by "surfing" (the web) for dollars and contact the owners, listing agents, etc. of properties which look interesting, even if you're not in position to do the deal just yet. That might be one way to start meeting folks virtually.

My $0.02 ...
