From Self employed to business owner / member
I have been a self employed real estate professional for 7 years. I pay 15.3% self employment tax + federal income taxes + state income taxes. All of my income is through commissions or fees I charge my clients.
At what point should I create an entity. How should the entity be structured if my active income continues to be commission based with the addition of passive rental income from investment properties?
Robert Kiyoski always touted that the secret to wealth was through owning companies. I am just having a hard time figuring exactly what he did, and how to pay myself from the company.
