We are starting a business

Hello,

My wife and I currently have one SFR in Augusta and are under contract on a duplex in Augusta, GA. This is our "farm" area. We recently moved from Augusta, GA to Braselton, GA, which is 2 hours away. We plan to keep investing in Augusta. We are in the process of starting our small business and are not sure where to look for a portfolio lender/local bank to partner with to start our business.

Should we find a bank close to were we live or focus on a bank that knows the area we plan to invest in for years to come? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Winn and Kaitlin Merwin

@Winn Merwin - I would talk to the folks in your REIA to find out what banks are the most friendly to real estate investors right now. In our area our all of regional banks are lending. Chances are, you will have a regional bank that covers both markets that would be a good option.
