Hi All,

I have been steadily growing my property management business and wanted to get some feedback from other small business owners who are also in the property management and real estate sales industry. I have hit the 20+ unit mark of properties that I manage and am looking to continue to grow. I have decided that I need to figure out or not I would like to stay in the residential realm or move into a different area of business Ie commercial property management. As of right now I want to change a few key areas of my business that I believe will make property managing run a lot smoother. For example moving to an electronic system to help calculate balances and tenant payments. A place for tenants to pay their rent electronically as well.

My question is: What electronic systems are you using and/or feel are great for a smaller PM company. What advice can you give for someone who would like to see more rapid growth in 2017?

Thank you for your help!

Appfolio is what we use for a pretty large portfolio.   Over all, it gets an A rating from us.   The automation for you, your staff, your tenants, and owners will saves you 2 salaries in the long run. It can handle as many properties as you can throw at it so you won't have to reinvent the wheel in another 50 homes.
