I have a friend who is interested in going into a deal with me. We are similar people, but I have a feeling that mixing business with friendship isn't the best recipe in the long run. What questions should we be asking ourselves? What issues should we anticipate? What relevant stories do you have?

Jerry, no one else can answer that question except you.  You know yourself and the partner better than anyone here.

Everything else is speculation on our part and wont do you much good.

One question you could ask yourself is: "Would I want to be in a dangerous situation with this person"

Partnerships fall apart when things go bad, try and get an idea for how they handle things with the crap hits the fan.
