How do I go about creating an LLC for our up and coming company? I'm new and could use any information I can get. Thanks!

"Creating" an LLC is easy - it typically involves filing a simple formation document with your state's Secretary of State. PROPERLY forming an LLC, however, is a different story. While an operating agreement isn't necessarily required, it's an important component of an LLC, and especially so if there are partners or investors involved. If you really need an LLC, you should consult an attorney and CPA for assistance. Doing it right isn't a do-it-yourself project. Your counsel can help you do this right, or may even advise you that you don't need an LLC at all, thereby saving you more money in ongoing LLC costs than you paid for their advice.
