Hello Fellow Investors!

Does anyone on here have a solid referral/recommendation for a tax attorney in the Portland Metro Area that really knows their stuff regarding 1031 exchanges? Any leads are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best,

Tim

@Tim Marr, You may be looking in the wrong forest.  I know it seems counter-intuitive but tax law and 1031 law are almost two different animals.  The reason is that 1031 requires the use of a unrelated 3rd party called the Qualified Intermediary.  They can do nothing but handle your 1031 exchange.  A tax law specialist can do everything else but cannot do your 1031.

So there ends up being this gap. where a 1031 Qi cannot do your taxes.  And a tax specialist won't generally be be best source of 1031 knowledge because they can't do them for you.

So depending on your situation either a tax specialist or a QI 1031 specialist or both might be what you're looking for.  But since it's a federal statute you don't need to confine your search geographically.
