Can I use 1031 money to pay condo fee in advance

I have done a couple of 1031 exchanges and I have a question for the experts. I’m selling a six plex in San Diego and buying 6 condo in Hawaii for full time vacation rentals (only for rentals ). The question is can I use some of the exchange money to pay Association fee ahead of time (6 months) though escrow. This would give me time to fix up each condo.

Thank You

Tommy

You need to check with your cpa before you do anything with 1031 exchange money. I would say no. 1031 exchange is extremely specific and I really doubt you can do that. No one on bigger pockets knows your specific circumstance so again I would check with your CPA. I would also recommend using a CPA who has done many many 1031 exchanges they are complicated and tedious.
