I have always been in the building trades, and currently work for a basement waterproofing/structural repair company . I spend a lot of time meeting with homeowners in distressed properties. I would like to take advantage of this position to acquire a couple of single-family rentals.

13 years ago we successfully purchased a house at auction. After a necessary full rehab, we still live here. We have never lost money, even in the 2008 free fall. I'm interested in another purchase to boost our retirement goals. We are thankful to have stellar credit and $100,000 in equity, but we have limited fluid assets.
