Several ways to skin that cat  ;)    With the DSCR lender, you could close directly in your LLC and it would not report to credit.

If you're not familiar with cash-on-cash I would recommend looking it up, I wish I knew about it when I was younger.

A borrower really needs to have at least some "skin in the game" to make lenders feel comfortable.

The house is registered with my name and my younger brother’s name as joint tenant.

But in reality, for younger people with moderate income, I actually see less benefit to financial planning.  

Even when I was younger, I understood that it could be a great way to achieve financial freedom, retire early, and live without the stress of money constantly hanging over my head.

So a deal that look great to one investor will look horrible to another and vice versa.

Thus he had skin in the game.
