I usually adjust temperature right before a check in to make it comfortable for guest.Love the Honeywell 9000 color touchscreen thermostats.They also allow me to locking a temperature range so the guests can't set temperature to 60 in the summer.

They didn’t have to break the door thankfully but they had to break my $200 touchscreen lock and then sent me a 300+ locksmith bill as well as a 900+ junk removal bill although there were no furniture left in the unit and the junk removal people only removed left over food from the fridge and the freezer!!!

The Honeywell 9000 color touchscreen thermostats are very user friendly and have 2 different levels of locking the controls.I recommend these over any other thermostat.

The wifi is what will allow you to access the door remotely.If you don't want wifi on it, Then you can still get a smart lock you'll just need to pre-program several different codes into it, and then give out those codes appropriately but you'd need to be on site at the door itself to program initially or update it.From personal experience I find the touch screen or wifi locks to be complete POS's that are not reliable and the battery does not last long.
