The longer the maturity rate of the bond, the higher the yield is to compensate an investor for the additional risk they are taking on with a longer dated bond.Stocks that pay divideneds....insurance companies have a lower yield than telecom stocks as a reflection that telecoms are higher risk than insurance companies.In the efficient market hypothesis, if markets are efficient then the yields should be reflective of the risk.

I am 4.5 yrs out of college and work with a telecom real estate fund and have always wanted to invest in real estate on my own.

My kitchen is in pretty good condition, but has telecom ter top.

I work full time at a local Chip( hint people think i work at Stadium) company as an Telecom engineer for last  20 years and still love the work i do and hopefully they don't fire me.

Just the same way that a mortgage reit or a telecom throw off a larger dividend than say an insurance company stock, thats a reflection of that asset, the telecom being higher risk than the insurance company stock. 

I have a full time job in the telecom world but have some experience with managing rental properties that my father has.I was introduced to BP by reading David Greene's  BRRRR book but have opened my eyes to other methods as well.

@William Watt, (1) I'd have to wonder about infrastructure expenses for power, telecom, sanitary sewer/septic, and roads.

@Jim AdrianI can get estimates from the modular home manufacturer.I'm looking for some idea what to expect "resurrecting" a subdivision that was never completed: complications with the city, dealing with the utilities - electric, gas, telecom, etc., merging new homes with the existing HOA (if any), ...

So according to the actual richest list, if you really want to be the wealthiest in the world, you would have to invent something or start a business (Amazon, FB, Telecom, retail), not buy real estate or trade stocks. 

All the time these towers are upgraded (5G, etc) and telecom companies lease them out.
