Do you work with out of state investors?

I'm an out-of-state owner.

I currently manage some of my out of state rentals, but would like to create my own property management business locally in New York (Long Island). 

Subsequently I ended up buying property in 8 states, and a couple weeks ago bought 5 properties in 5 days in 3 states.

Do you make them under the original owner s name or my own name ?

Recently had a conversation with an MLO who had their license with Company A (NMLS regulated) and then on the side, this person conducted commercial-only business loan-related activity by starting their own LLC (company B) in the states where no mortgage licenses are required.

Some of my clients manage their own rentals (even when they live in another state) and simply have a local handyman to do repairs and showings.

That would mean one should file for an out of state loss.

I suspect that whatever the reason, CA experienced investors could state why it is BS.The reality is - CA RE has on average produced better return than any other state.
