An LLC has no effect negatively or positively on how a full doc lender will calculate your income.

What is your process for underwriting a rental by adding an ADU (addition or division)?

Yep I suspected this as I already co-manage an LTR.   ;-)    I had a distinct sense the MTR workflow was going to be much more involved (depending on MY own involvement in it).Just trying to first learn from others on their:a.

Fannie Mae does not allow mortgages to be in the name of an LLC.

@Michael Anderson you have two options:1) Create an Assignment of Lease from you to LLC2) Have tenant sign new Lease with LLC.Really only an issue if eviction or some other court issue.

The last month I have been exploring house hacking options as an easy option.

Give the cost of money these days is around 7%, it would definitely be nice to have a paid off rental.7% cost of money sounds like a lot until you remember that it is actually the tenants that are paying it for you while your money is sitting in an index fund making 8%.

@Agatha OliveiraSharing an operating agreement does not pierce your LLc and every contract you enter into the company should ask for a copy of the operating agreement to confirm the person signing has that authority
