Some items considering:- Chichen Itza- Swimming in cenote Ik Kil- Valladolid Centro- Las Coloradas- Izamal- Akumal beach- Shopping in Playa del Carmen- Tulum Ruins- Cenote Dos Ojos- Xplor- Parque Nacional de los Arrecifes (cozumel island)Have not yet looked into transportation or lodging for period outside the conference dates.  

if virtually all attendees miss a paid for workshop, there are reasons.As for our travels, we saw 4 mayan sites including Chichen Itza and toba, swam in 3 cenotes, went to swim with turtles but too rough seas for the wife (storm impacts), scuba a Great Wall (advanced dive - 95’ with strong current), many tours of various cities including horse drawn and walking.  

Would love to extend a night, and explore some of the cenotes!  

The other project aims to generate income through entry fees to cenotes and nature trails.

I was intrigued as well by their proximity to their new water Park with 10 cenotes.

Another dimension of risk that few people talk about with Tulum is the ecological destruction, particularly of the cenote system.

**Tourism Trends and Market Expansion:**Tulum's appeal extends beyond its beaches, with attractions like archeological sites, cenotes,  and the multicolored lagoons of Nopalitos, Kan Lum, and Bacalar gaining attention as well as good food, good year-round weather, and kind & polite people.

We found a "cenote" which is basically a sink hole of water.

In the Riviera Maya you'll find paradise beaches, ruins, cenotes, amusement parks, history, culture, islands, will be able to dive in one of the biggest reefs in the world.In the past 10 years Playa has grown like no other city.

I did stay in Merida for a week, the pictures are of one of the cenote's and of the Tulum ruins.
