@Arlen Chou There is a petrochemical refinery and ammonia fertilizer plant in this town of 9000. 

Many of the homes I´ve acquired took weeks of bleach, ammonia, pinesol and scrubbing to get the stink out.

We got around this by rubbing the trim down with ammonia.

As I was masking off the floors to start painting, I got hit in the face with with overwhelming ammonia smell from that corner.

The contractor reports to me that there's cats everywhere, the place SMELLS like ammonia..... he even refused the job because he got a terrible allergic reaction and the place smelled too bad.....Other than annoying instances of having to wait for him to get us cheks a couple days late, he hasn't been a problem.....But I fear the place will have a permenant smell, and who knows what other pet damage there is.....Should I threaten eviction?

The painters I have talked to say that if you clean with ammonia and use the B-I-N that should take care of it.  

Take the cost of it from her security deposit.If it wasn't in the lease and you're footing the bill, then wipe down all the surfaces including the ceiling with vinegar or ammonia mixed with hot water.

A couple of bowls of lemon ammonia set out seems to work wonders too.

It smelled like ammonia.
