I consider them 'traders'. 

This is where the "retail trader" pays $1000 to a firm to prove themselves as a competent trader for 2 months and then is given $50K to trade.

Hey Vessi - I would love to hear about the tools you are using as well.I worked for decades as a trader at top tier Wall Street firms before focusing on Real Estate PE.

Because there have been such significant gains in the markets this year (unless you are a bond investor😬) fund/asset managers and stock traders will likely do some portfolio rebalancing in January, selling winners, and locking in tremendous 2024 gains.

Day traders are not exempt unless they elect mark-to-market (MTM) accounting, which eliminates wash sale tracking but taxes gains as ordinary income.To manage taxes, track trades closely, avoid overlapping purchases, or consider MTM election if trading actively.

At the end of the day, there are more day traders that end up broken than not. 

And as for Jamie Dimon prices have doubled since he made his proclamation and his own traders are trading bitcoin futures so I wouldn't put too much stock in what he says.As to why buy real estate at all its for diversification.

And they did it for years before my family bought that ranch.Many my age born in the 50s we did work in Ag in the 60s  I lived in Cupertino CA and I cut Cotts in the summer.. thats splitting apricots in half and laying them on a big wooden board to then dry naturally in the sun out doors.. hard to find REAL dried apricots these days U can still find them in Trader Joes though.. 

Invent a global tax (Carbon Tax) and invent a token of credit against those tax's (carbon credits) and shazam a market where traders can buy, sell trade, option, leverage, hedge against these and the flow of them.

I am happy to see the strategy has worked so well for so many, but my question remains, what happens when it doesn’t work.As an options trader there is a saying when it comes to the many “strategies” pitched by gurus…it works until it doesn’t!
