@Stephanie Menard, I have been an attorney for over 36 years with about half of that being a prosecuting attorney. 

Bank related issues can be prosecuted for 10 years.

If the transaction has "hair", the feds care and financial crimes can be prosecuted for up to 10 years after the transaction. 

It seems I may be protected from prosecution...

When complaints were filed due to major issues raised, some states prosecuted the companies for depriving buyers of ownership rights and outright deeded the houses to buyers (regardless of breach of contract and default on loans), with huge restitutions to be paid to state and end buyers.

@James Wise it was always illegal, it's the DAs refusal to prosecute and the LE refusal to enforce is what brough this retail apocalypse on CA cities... 

In other words, if there are attorneys who can afford to specialize in just prosecuting dog owners for dog bites - then good luck defending against them.What I learned when I was studying law, was that if there is any history whatsoever that a dog has ever bitten someone or a dog before, then no matter the circumstances, if they bite again - they are automatically guilty.And, even as a dog lover, you and I both know that some breeds are more likely to bite than others.  

This is a great move as they have way more experience in investigating and successfully prosecuting these types of crimes.
