As Pari said, you can learn notes and earn more than that, or if you want mailbox money and do no work, JV with a note investor and you can get 12%+ and your money is not tied up for years but on average 12-18 months (or less) depending on the deal. 

So I went the Hilton hotel where they held the conference/event.

I think we could say the same for London ,Paris , Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo etc ..

@Val Berechet There are a couple hotel chains with properties in Tulum, including Marriott (Aloft), Kimpton, and of course the Conrad Hilton that opened north of Tulum.
