It's fair to be skeptical of any program that teaches people how to become GPs without addressing the balance sheet requirements or the reality that experience and liquidity are often the biggest barriers to entry.

Social media seems the best resource for this nowadays.Out of curiosity, what recourse do LPs have when GPs fail to operate according to the operating agreement?

I would consider the returns you have now - then run a different scenario where you put that money in a basic S&P 500 tracker.

Also - if you invest that 500k in an S&P 500 tracker - you'll average 8%/year - 40k.

To raise capital, focus on building a strong investment thesis, leveraging your track record, and networking with high-net-worth investors or experienced GPs.

The GPs find the best opportunities they can recognizing that the risk/return outlook needs to be able to get LP investors.  

I understand and appreciate the S&P tracker strategy but end of the day / career means big tax penalties.HSA is a priority for us this year and we modestly contribute to 401ks, employer ESPP. 

For the tracker, I would just have a simple Excel sheet without generic entries
