I ask because a lot of local foreclosures are winterized and I have been trying to figure out how to get the plumbing (and electrical) inspected prior to purchase.

I figured it's probably pretty boring and basic stuff but I just want to make sure I'm armed with as much information as possible going into my first deal so I really appreciate your help and insight! 

I figured this was good because of the tax sabings.

I didn’t realize that what I was doing was “house hacking” but now it seems that is exactly what I was doing.Unfortunately the TV network laid me off the same week I closed, so I had some things to figure out.
