We have had ongoing issues with our common area hot tubs and we are thinking about remodeling the area with a fire pit instead.

There are primarily older homes with several of them remodeled.

Though buildings can be remodeled, and re-purposed, you still have an old building that's been remodeled.

The amount of time it takes to get a project through design, planning, etc. really is no different than it takes for a remodel, and in many ways it's much simpler.

Remodel and sell them if you can.

I am remodeling my house and have a PVC pipe that runs outside the house a couple inches above ground which drains the kitchen sink, it then runs through the garage and then right outside the garage the PVC pipe goes into the ground where it is connected to the main drain pipe from the house.

I have a triplex in an expensive urban market (San Francisco) where I'm remodeling the flats.
