Relying on the sellers inspections is like taking a used car sales persons word that a car was only driven by a little old lady on the weekend; Trust but Verify!

@Robert Ablorh  Robert you need to use your own judgment here, are you wanting to help the lady out or make life tough for her? 

After hearing all the horror stories from basically every corner, we chose to keep our old house and rent it out to a lady and her kids on a two-year lease without knowing a thing about how to be a landlord.

And also the property owner is an 81 year old lady, her husband passed away in 2016.

When I did PM, we had a lady who paid in person, in check, wanted a receipt, and a photocopy of both.

I can't imagine some ladies garden club wanting me charging out the door on my 20,000 pound diesel powered forklift to pick something off a truck.So here is my question, Real Estate agent seems kinda tight with the current owner.

I didn't mention it but I will be living in one side with a friend of mine and the other side has been rented out by a sweet old lady for the past 8 years so I will leave her in there as long as she continues to pay the rent.
