I did not say an exception to federal law, I was saying exceptions vary state by state.If you're going to say banks waive something, be specific to the small banks you deal with and not make it sound like all banks will or even could waive something, and I'm pretty sure what you are calling a waiver is probably nothing more than a comment on the phone saying they wouldn't call a note.The DOS is a tool in the box banks have to manage interest rate risks, I can tell you that FDIC would not smile about banks handing out "waivers" in writing saying they would never call a note due under the DOS, won't happen.

The bank has priced some of the potential into the present price - not ideal, but not bad.I think your 15K return to service budget is healthy - if you get your appliances at HD, you would be able to put them on the 24mth no interest payment plan which will save you a bit of upfront outlay and allow you to pay them out of cashflow.
