@Benson Webb In an ideal world we would have tenants pay all utilities and tenants would always pay and everything would go beautifully, and a leprechaun riding a winged unicorn would drop off my paper and bagel every morning, lol. 

The property includes a 600 sq ft detached building that probably used to be a garage, but was converted beautifully to a studio apartment with bathroom, kitchenette, and looks to be up to code.

The beauty of real estate is that there are so many options and any one of them can lead to success.

The buyers had to show up with $2500 to buy a beautiful home in an A+ neighborhood. 

I remember years ago a beautiful old mansion was rotting away.

It looks like formerly good area (old beautiful houses) but a lot of houses were non occupied and looked extremely distressed.

That's not my particular reason but it's nice as other countries tax burdens might be less than what you pay in the US.I've been to Thailand several times - it's a beautiful country.
