Wholesale Real Estate

Please, let me know if I am posting in the wrong area. Otherwise,

Hello,

I am back! After getting so much information from the users of this website before, I am back again, but I really hope to linger a little longer. I am trying to get into the wholesale market. I feel as it can be very lucrative.

I have tons of questions and I would love someone to bounce them off of. If anyone knows more than me and is willing to share a little time - that would be great.

New story for me here. I moved to San Diego with my wife. So, I will be operating out of the San Diego area. I have no clue if targeting San Diego is a great idea or not - but I feel like the sky's the limit.

-Gil

@Gildardo M.anyone can dream. I've only been on BIggerpockets for a few days and the amount of "I will do what it takes" posts far exceed the "I did what it took and here I am posts".... easy to say. Not easy to do.

Be genuinely interested in real estate. Be genuinely interested in building relationships. If you focus on the money (I.e. I need to make 100k my first year) then finding any value or traction will be tough (you're just looking for dollars vs experience, value, education, and so on).

Your response to @Kevin Keith Beck is somewhat of a shame. Maybe he is just starting out but so are you!!! He might've already made costly mistakes that he could've helped you avoid. He might already have a few contacts. He might already know a few industry pros that are happy to work with you. Don't burn bridges.

I buy dozens of properties from a "legit" wholesaler in Chicagoland. They spend 600k a year in marketing. They deal with bankruptcies, probate, estates, etc.. they completed 54 acquisitions this year in a big market with 600k in marketing....

Real estate is great. All avenues of it can make you very wealthy. There's no right or wrong direction as long as you stay within the law - mortgage guys make millions, brokers make millions, investors make millions, title companies make millions, good wholesalers make millions, designers make millions ;)....

Don't just be in it to make a buck though.
