Make sure your estimates are comparable--same material, repair to any wood under the existing roof if needed, removal of old roof, etc.Also, sometimes folks are cheaper because they are not licensed, insured and bonded.I am in TN and have paid from $6400 for a simple roof over a box type house of less than 2000 sq ft to $18,000 for a Victorian house.
