A friend of ours recently lost her 90 year old mother, now she has inherited four SFR's and she doesn't want anything to do with them.

Her mother said she would help her with a portion of the rent but said" I will help her out but I'm not going to tell her I'm going to help her I want her to be able to come up with something."

One unit that includes a mom and adult daughter on a month to month agreement is looking to remove the adult daughter from the agreement and add a new tenant (the mothers boyfriend).

I think our dream would be to sell it now, live with the mother-in-law for a bit, get into another recession, and completely pay off a house at that time with the money from the sale.

Greetings BPI hope everyone is doing well, i have a dilemma that id like your opinion on,Please feel free to ask as much detail you need to understand the situation.Here we go, Currently my mother is renting an apartment for 900/month in Westland Michigan and i pay half the rent 450 to help, my name is on the lease she couldnt be approved without me , since she moved to the apartment, i bought a duplex 5months after she moved in the apartment, and since then she we renewed her lease.My duplex is currently rented with outgoing tenants, i live on the other side, currenlty my renter are paying 775, but once they move on ill rehab and raise the rents to 900, which would put me at cash flow of 200 a month which is great to live in one half ,imagine if i completely moved out.So heres the Dilemma, theres a Hud house on the market for 60K which will be worth 150K after a 30K rehab, but i cant sell it or rent it for a year after owning it, so i was thinking i could move out my duplex move my mother in and sell my HUD after a Year for the profit.

They were worried about the mother in law, as she has no income, etc. 

I'm not too happy about adding a dog to the unit.Text message from tenant: Hi, sorry to bug you but I wanted to ask you if it will be ok if we took in my mother in laws small elderly dog he is about 12 years old and is completely house trained, she needs to place him and asked us but I wanted to run it by you 1st.

@Scott Meyers  thanks Scott was just wondering if you were locking into some specific stat.being CA native its about on cue that every 10 years or the market does a swoon.. then comes roaring back.I look at my business life in CA.. mid to late 70s recession  with the war ending.mid 80s interest rates at 20% plus SL melt downfor us late 80s was induced by Earthquake and the war in Iraqthen dot com bubble burst.. but that was short lived.then the Mother of them all the GFCSo when I think of these that personally affected me and my business they all had different trigger points.With a lot of it simply being media and consumer confidence and people following the herd.

I would love to buy and hold onto hospitals and nursing homes.

My mother and I were the heirs to the estate.
