I would not drop what is in the initial fund, but if she has no interest in learning about investing, the lifecycle funds are a fair option as an alternative.

@Sami Gren call a new lender and see if they can match or beat your current rate, they might as interest rates have dropped recently, don't give yourself an artificial deadline to "keep your rate"  It takes as long as it takes to get the results and if they come back with contamination it can be very expensive to clean up.

I’ve read in other forms about the security deposit idea, which is great, but that’s only if it lasts one month or less...While the news keeps changing every hour, it seems that the US will be sending every American $2,000 and will allocate about $300B for small businesses.
