We have a strong suspicion that the seller and her boyfriend have been playing games with everyone from the beginning, and I'm hoping our "playing hardball" called them out on it. 

They would not let it stay there in the unit with nobody claiming it.Professional tenants like to play games and accept ZERO responsibility for anything.
