Many are under the impression that the bank will lose the interest rate on a performing loan, horsefeathers when the note is sold and the originator retains servicing rights or if it's just sold, they don't get the interest paid.

Of course, if you have an excellent tenant that you don't want to lose, you may maintain the rental rate in exchange for retaining the tenant who pays on time, does their own minor fixes and is overall low maintenance.
