I went to my first investing meet up in Hollywood on Tuesday night, I believe they happen the first Saturday every month down in Long Beach and the first Tuesday in Hollywood. 

It's confusing becuase BP has not figured out how to differentiate between Reno, NV and 'reno' as in renovation...I suggest searching the forums for West Palm Beach or the general Florida forum at https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/552-florida-real-estate-q-a-discussion-forum

It's close enough to L.A. without having to live there, and it's close enough to the Central Coast of California where I live now (Pismo Beach & Five cities area). 

I have relocated to Newport Beach and am ready to hit the ground running in real estate.
