A little bit about me and my expectations, I’m a active duty stationed in Camp Pendleton but in the next 6 months being transferred to 29 palms(both in California).

Goals-Short term Create a property management firm Buy two properties to rehab and sellBuy one property to rehab and rent out Build a house on my dads property to rent out- Long TermCreate monthly passive income that matches my monthly W2 income Employ at least 3 family members with my property management firm Eventually retire from a W2 job and become a full time real estate investor I realize that i am young and dumb.

My wife has an old 401k rollover from a prior job that we're both interested in rolling into a self directed IRA and investing in RE projects. 

You are job relocation, moving to another far away city, and this is the first house in this far away city

My day job is an engineer at a major automotive OEM.I've always wanted to get in to RE investing but put it off due to one life event after another.

One of my main concerns is that I have a full time job which takes up all my available time and brain most days. 

Also if you're going to buy a condo in Arlington you might want to put it on a corporate job board.

They both have "regular" jobs in addition to this -- she sells houses, he fixes them.

I have to do a better job networking.
