You still need someone from your camp to reach out to them (the attorney representing them) and try to figure out what their intentions are.Legal fees don't climb up this quick and I'm pretty sure you're going to have equity above the 1st.

Make sure you are careful an inexperienced flipper with good intentions can cost you as much as a crooked flipper.

I do currently have a flexible day job so it allows me to build my investment business on the side until I wont need the day job anymore as my intentions are to be a full time investor at some point.

Such terms such as "Arm's Length", "Meeting of the Minds", "Consideration", "Good Faith" ,"Bilateral and Unilateral", "Laws of Agency" "Servant and Master" and "Intent", "Ability to Perform" what "Fraud" is, different types of fraud.You are or can be a principal when you have the capacity to contract, give consideration, have the intent to perform as stated in the contract, have the ability to perform, that you deal in good faith in your own best interest, that you disclose facts that put another party at a significant disadvantage, do not mislead or misrepresent yourself or material facts, that the purpose of the transaction and the means used to perform are lawful, having a lawful purpose.  

We're not sure of the intent, but obviously it wasn't positive. 

This gives you breathing room and flexibility to find a buyer, with less pressure.
