Also, with the amount of people hunting pre-foreclosures (wholesalers, agents, individuals, funds, etc.) and scooping them up to flip them, I don't see how the supply could outweigh the demand in the near future.

There are a lot of other benefits to owning real estate as well people tend to forget about- depreciation- appreciation- debt paydownAlong with the benefits of syndicating large multi family which can make deals work over a multi year period that wouldn't with an individual investor.
