The buyer got a loan from the Jamaican housing authority (Something equivalent to HUD but three times the bureaucracy) and since there is no such thing as escrow, (Each side must chose a lawyer to carry his/her affairs) The lawyers and the housing authorities can drag it forever.

Successful marketing, especially of intangibles, is much more likely to be successful if either the prospect intiates the contact, for example looking for a higher yield investment and comes to your web page, or through REAL networking, i.e. hearing you speak at a real estate conference, being introduced by a mutual business associate, etc.

Your checking account should have what's called a "cut off" amount, where either partner can write a check up to a certain amount without having a company authority to do so.
