I heard this kind of manual timer could be stuck sometimes so the heater fan potentially last for a long time and it is less desirable than digital timer.

the book  "The Secret Synergy Group System" by Jim Yocom had excellent breakdown (you could skip the whole beginning on why to do it) and has information state-by-state to help you understand what would work best for your particular interests.
