DSTs could also be a great option to "clear out your Qualified Intermediary account" to satisfy the debt and equity replacement requirements of the exchange, as you can fund the portfolio with an exact (to the penny) amount of equity. 

I'd be careful about looking for any sort of cash payment in exchange for not filing a complaint as that looks an awful lot like blackmail.If you're ready to sell, I'd find a more ethical agent and tell the first one to kick rocks.

You use the 1031 exchange to sell investment property that has either appreciated in price or has been depreciated (tax write off) heavily. 

Given that Trump is all about business and made his billions off of real estate, it would be hard to imagine him hurting the real estate market.On the other hand, I have heard Biden has a plan to get rid of the 1031 exchange, it may only be for those making $400,000 or more, but without looking further into it I cannot say for sure.I would recommend doing some research on both candidate's proposed policies to help determine if what they are proposing will be good or bad for REI.Forrest

You could invest in turnkey rentals in another market, but the 1031 exchange timing is difficult to align with those companies.

So I would like to have us all on the loan together and buy a fixer multifamily that we can all work on together to continually exchange.
