It's like having the local shoe store clerks take time to fit you, then you go online and order the new shoes at a discount -- plus, you then post online that the shoe store is untrustworthy.

It depends on state law as in a community property state, heirs may step in the shoes of the other deceased party, with the wife owning with say two sons ahving a half interest to the estate, that would make the joint tenancy 1/8 each to the sons and 3/4 to the wife in some cases.

The IRS looks at buying and selling houses just like buying and selling any other commodity -- you could be buying and selling shoes, buying and selling clothes, buying and selling jewelry, etc.So, the income is taxed at whatever your marginal income tax rate is, not a fixed rate like capital gains.

I believe both men were wearing leather sole dress shoes on a pitched roof, when gravity took them on that final ride.A couple of owners later the house burned and was a total loss, which solved the roof problem.So where I'm going with this, is if there is an easy access point to the roof, you may get sunbathers, partiers, adventurous teens up there monkeying around with the HVAC equipment (in addition to the droning humming noise).Good Luck!
